Reading: Unit 1 Week 2 “Big Red Lollipop”
(visualize, character, setting, events)
Spelling/LA: Short /e/, short /o/ and short /u/
root words, commands and exclamations,
capitalization and punctuation
Science/SS: Where We Live: Neighborhoods and Communities
Math: Number Patterns
Test/Projects: Wednesday Timed addition quiz
Friday Spelling test
Neighborhoods & Communities test
Announcements:
*** IOWA testing is September 20-24. It begins each morning at 8 a.m. Going to bed early and eating a good breakfast will help your child concentrate better. These two things will be part of their homework assignments for the week of testing.
*** Study addition math facts 0-20 each night. We will have a timed math quiz every week.
*** Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

20-24 IOWA test of basic skills
Sept 30 - Oct 4 Fall Break
October 5 Classes resume
7 WCDS all-school cookout 4:30-7:30 pm
